In the city of Luteopolis, where progress rhymes with eternal youth, the world is about to celebrate a new century. However, the main worry on everyone’s mind is the eradication of lepidoterose, a sickness that randomly transforms teenagers into powerful and bloodthirsty Anomalies.

For the last eight years, Tyria, Morpho and Hemaris have been a team of Ephemerals, an elite unit responsible for tracking those outbreaks. When the body of an adult Anomaly is found, terrorizing the entire country, they decide to investigate even if it means unearthing dangerous memories.

They will also cross paths with Alphonse, an apprentice Guard who is the only one to recognize this anonymous Anomaly as the one who destroyed his life years ago. Yet the truth he seeks out goes well beyond his personal tragedy.
