A book dedicated to the emblematic places of The Witcher
The Continent contains many mysteries and a great diversity of cultures. Relations between the peoples have been shaped by magic, wars, and various creatures. Quotations from the works of Adrzej Sapkowski accompany the natural landscapes and medieval architecture, and Puysségur places these sumptuous visuals in context, from the hidden fortress of Kaer Morhen to the sunken mysteries of the underwater city of Ys, via majestic Cintra and the impenetrable forest of Brokilone.
The book looks back at the formation of the world and the arrival of the peoples, the Conjunction of the Spheres and the creation of the sorcerers. Each kingdom is examined for its resources and riches, its allies and enemies, and the secrets it holds. The final part of the book looks at a place where it is perhaps unwise to wander: the hostile borders of the Continent.
