Josephine and Arthur, both 14 years old, hate each other, and moving in together with their blended family to a village called Miller’s Hollow is not helping. Out of desperation, Arthur’s mother meets with a rumored old witch who offers to make her dream come true: on Christmas’s Eve, Arthur and Josephine will finally get along.
On December the 1st, on a full moon, they play a game of The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow with several inhabitants. But the day after, an old lady who was ‘killed’ in the game is missing for real, as if the game had taken over reality…
Despite their disagreement, Arthur and Jo decide to investigate.
