A fast-paced spy adventure set in steampunk Constantinople

1885

The Great Game is being played out in Constantinople, the scene of deadly espionage and intrigue. The Tsar has fallen and the New Russian Empire has become the world’s first industrial dictatorship. Its giant airships, tanks, and steam-powered exoskeletons have established its dominance over Western Europe. The Ottoman Empire is now much coveted.

The new Russian Emperor is preparing to return a legendary diamond, called the Shah, to the Ottoman Sultan. Martina Krelinkova, an adventurer and cat burglar, is for her part determined to steal it. But no sooner has she arrived in Constantinople than she discovers that her sister has gone missing. To find her without giving up her plans to pocket the precious stone, Martina will have to expose the dark intrigues of the Great Game.
