In the near future, a young girl’s quest for freedom as humanity seeks to rebuild itself

A catastrophic chill has plunged the world into disarray and decimated humanity. Moana lives on a Polynesian island where girls are forced into marriage and obliged to have children at a very early age. Inspired by the tales of her greatgrandmother, she dreams of exploring the lands beyond the ocean and wants to live according to her own rules.
Moana finally escapes her island only to end up on a devastated territory under the heel of a central government that seeks to banish all memories of life before the great chill. She boards the Argo, a rebel ship, and finds allies as she flees oppression.
But when the government abducts her adopted family, she decides to openly revolt. For Moana is no longer a little girl. She is now strong, in love, and determined to regain her freedom.

‘Silène Edgar delivers an attractive and intelligent tableau.’
