If Spring means the loss of a loved one,
then let's hold back Winter...
November 1990. Idriss and his son Samba are starting their new life in Roche-Bleue, a village nestled into the French mountainside. A place far from Burkina Faso but close to Idriss’s heart, as his mother used to praise the beauty of the snow-covered slopes and the warmth of the villagers.
But the outsiders struggle at earning their trust, and though Idriss holds his head high while protecting Samba’s innocence, Samba suffers children’s teasing and gets more angrier each day. Until he meets a whimsical pink-haired little girl with a vivid imagination who brings back joy into his life. But when she reveals she is seriously ill and will not make it through winter, he refuses to let that happen, certain that he can save her.
And to do so, he must convince all villagers to help him achieve a crazy project: postponing the arrival of Spring and keep Winter going…
